HOW TO AVOID LOSING YOUR GIFT

SERMON BY CHIEF ELDER JOHNSON
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 27TH

What is your gift?
Salvation is your gift
Finding yourself in the university is a gift. People you applied with, had better marks than you, yet you were admitted.

Everything you have today, wherever you are today, someone was supposed to be there, but then you were grafted and put there. It's a gift (favour)

Read Romans 11:17-24

The same way God can remove you from the tree and graft the original there.

Verse 24
So if God was willing to do something contrary to nature by grafting you unto His cultivated tree, He will be far more eager to graft the original branches back into the tree where they belong.

So if you find yourself using your gift,
* Don't consider people's reactions
* Do it from your heart to please God not man
Lest you lose it.

The gift is not for fun.
The gift isn't for titles.
The gift is for work..
Work to show the glory of God unto man.

TIME TO USE YOUR TALENT

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20TH
SERMON BY CHIEF ELDER JOHNSON

To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability.
                    Matthew 25:15

With your five bags of silver, two or one bag of silver (talent ), God expects you to utilize it. Lest you lose it. Whatever gift you have, it's good for you.

Vs 15b  according to his ability.  According to your ability God gave you your one talent, two talents, or five talents.  So why struggle and compare your one talent to someone's five talent,  when you will all be rewarded the same, provided your talent is utilized.

"As many as I have entrusted into your hands, keep them "

You don't want to lose your talent? Use it or use  them. At the end of the day, when the Lord God Almighty is rewarding you, He will say to you....
Vs 21
His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

    Rev.12:7                          1Sam.15:23

FAULTS AND MISTAKES

Saying , Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm
                        1 chronicles 6:22

As a Christian we are not to be quick to judge.

A mature person is not judgmental but tries to understand the mistakes of his neighbor.

In the book of Galatians chapter 6 vrs 1 it says,

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.

Also in Matthew 7:3 the Bible says,

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Look at things with the spiritual eye and ye shall not judge thy neighbor

"Who Is A Saint?
                         There Is None Without Sin."

LEAVE YOUR GIFT......

And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us..

In Mathew chapter 5 v21,the Bible addresses anger, holding grudges and the need to forgive.
The verse number 23 says why it is important to forgive our brothers before we even try to make peace with God.

*five reasons why you must leave your gift at the alter
- having a good relationship means you are not a liar

- having a good relationship proves that you are not a murderer
.                  1 John 3:15

- having a good relationship proves that you are not abiding in death
                   1 John 3:14

- having a good relationship is a proof that you are no longer in darkness
.
-having a good relationship is a proof that you have forgiven those who have wronged you

ProTon

But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things shall be added.
                                           Math 6:33

January,  our month of proton, our month of first. First in putting God above all things, hence, Mathew 6:33
First thing to seek when you find yourself in a new environment:  purpose

*why it is necessary to put that which is first first......
1. Any thing that is not done first loses it's significance.

2. That which is supposed to be first when not done, may never be done.
It is an insult to give the second place to that which is first.

3. Problems abound when that which is first becomes second.

THE LORD'S PRAYER EXPLAINED

Sermon by BISHOP FRANCIS SARPONG

The Lord's prayer is one of the most powerful prayer every Christian can pray.

When the disciples went to Jesus to ask him to teach them how to pray, Jesus taught them the Lords prayer.
But as a Christian do you know what the Lords prayer fully entails?

Jesus gave the outline for the the Lords prayer which touches on:

Facet one: Worship and Reverence to God
Our father who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name

Facet two: Establishment of Gods kingdom on earth
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done on earth
As it is in Heaven

Facet three: Supply of our daily needs
Give us this day our daily bread

Facet four:A call to forgive our neighbors
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who
Tresspass against us

Facet five:Spiritual protection from the evil one
And lead us not into temptation
But Deliver us from the evil one

Nothing Jesus taught should be taken for granted.
Especially the aspect that deals with the evil one.
