WHY MANY PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD BY BISHOP DAG HEWARD-MILLS

GOOD FRIDAY MESSAGE:APRIL 14TH

Opening Scripture
Luke 1

Second Scripture
John 3:16

It is easy for people to believe Jesus is the son of God, mostly due to his declarations and what He claimed to be .

Jesus said 'I  am the way, the truth and the life. No  one goes to the Father, except through me'

Jesus said 'I am the shepherd '

Jesus said 'I am the comforter and the resurrection "

The most important is that Jesus died for us.

Through His death and resurrection, we got our salvation.
Through Jesus' death and resurrection we get our healing.

When God decided to save us, He did not  use the blood of  an angel, the blood of a Ghanaian nor the blood of a  Nigerian. But He used the blood of his son, the only begotten,  blood that never loses power, the blood that speaks.

You can never be saved by the preachings your hear all the time.  Only one thing can save you and that is the blood of Jesus.

It is  the blood that gives us strength from day to day.
The blood that has power, the blood that never expires and  that is why even  after two thousand and seventeen years, the blood still saves and works wonders.

Jesus the saviour will save you, accept Him and confess Him as your Lord and personal saviour.

Jesus has already made you a new person and you are a new creation.

Remember, to love the lord is the greatest command.

love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your might.

A prophet is a man whom God has sent and has the power to take you out and bring you in

And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.
                               Hosea 12:13

From our Scripture, it can be inferred that..

*Your prophet can take you out of poverty, difficulty, distress and bring you to safety.

*Your prophet can cause your rise and your fall.
                            Luke 2:34

*There are different kinds of prophets who work in different ways.
                          1 Corinthians 12:4

After knowing who a prophet is, the question that comes to mind is      "What must you  do with your  prophet "?

-Receive him
.                       John 13:20   Matthew 10:41

-Honour him
.                      Mark 6:2-4    Malakai 1:6

-Accept him
.                       John 8:48

And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set ye free....
     ......John 8:32-38

For you to be free, you must know the truth. Until then, you are in bondage.
It is not just about knowing the truth, but you have to accept it, before it can work for you.

Until you accept it and believe it, you will still be in bondage.

In this world, everything is based on facts, based on assumptions, based on guesses and ideas :that is the definition of truth to them. Hiding what is beneath, which Is the truth.

The fact limits you, the fact cannot cross boundaries, but the truth can go into generations.
In the world lies fact, but in Christ Jesus we have truth.
We Christians live by faith, and it is our truth. The truth gives us assurance. The truth gives us purpose, The truth does not give us assumptions.

What you accept automatically becomes the truth. It creates a false identity that you live in.
If you tell yourself you are a failure, that is how your life will be. If you see yourself ugly, as a liar, as a fornicator, till thy kingdom comes, that's how you will be.
Stop accepting the false identity of the devil and accept the truth from Jesus Christ.

What you accept rules you and gives you identity ,until you reject it, accept the truth and reverse the false identity.

The truth is what the Bible says about you. The truth is what has been prophesied about you.  The truth is what thy Lord thy God Jesus has said about you  and so accept the truth.

What you accept has the power to
Set you free or put you in bondage.

You can only effect a change when you know the truth.
